I asked a lot of me teachers in the past and most of them have suggested still life, landscapes, hands, zoomed-in objects, paintings, watercolor and stuff like that. Just so they can see you are able to do more then one media and style. But if this isn't any good, I would ask the chairwoman of graphic design in school. She would know
The problem lies in the fact that I'm not applying for just a generic art program or school, and I'm also not applying as an incoming freshman. =\ I'm applying as a transfer student with an associates degree, so I need to show them that I -know- what I'm doing as far as the basic programs like photoshop and illustrator go. ): I need to show them that I've actually learned something, haha, so that they're more inclined to accept my transfer credits. Obviously, they're not going to take my credits if they think they didn't actually teach me anything. D:!
No, I've definitely learned stuff, like the programs, but things like Dre's class were... as much as I hate to be one of 'those' people, totally repeated. I knew it all already. =\
I sorta felt like that, until we had the vocab. I knew some, but not all of them. Those were pretty much only the things I learned from her class. But I would recommend you just ask the Professors you trust more and those whose opinion you value more.
