I need ideas for portfolio pieces. Any ideas?

So, I've decided that, once again, I'm gonna try the commission thing. We'll see what happens. HOWEVER. I need some examples from, you know, not many moons ago.

Thus is why the first three people that ask will get free sketches, either hand-drawn or done on my tablet (which I'm not as good with; which is why they're cheaper). (:

Other than that, I think pricing will go as followed:

*NOTE* At the moment, I can't do more than one character in an image. It throws me completely off, unfortunately.

Holy cow! I graduate in June? When did this happen? Well, I guess getting a 2-year degree in a grand total of 11 months is pretty cool.

This ALSO means I can look professional-like when building websites, doing print graphics, and try to make my way into the world of graphic design in a piss-poor economy. Looks like it's freelance from now on. ):

On that note - anyone know of a GOOD web host? My college's Graphic Design chair is trying to get the school to make their own, but I don't know if that'll pan out before I'm out of here.

My teacher recommended GoDaddy, which is what he uses, but I've no prior experience with them. I need something reliable that I can build my personal portfolio on. Any ideas you guys have'll be wicked awesome.

Okay, so I was going to wait until I felt that people would actually bite, but there's nothing wrong with putting this up now, is there?

So here's the deal: Kriss is poor. Just got home from my first semester at school, and damn. Design/Technology is -wiping my wallet clean-. I just found out that the job I was really excited for was a huge pyramid scam (I knew a starting salary of $18.25 was too good to be true...), and I'll hopefully be getting the job at JoAnn's.

But, I currently have a negative bank account balance due to my -$12.50 Paypal balance. Thanks, Paypal. *Sigh*
So, since I don't want to (and can't, really) spend my paycheck on internet purchases anymore, because it's killing me, I've decided to start taking commissions. We'll see what happens.
